Basic Breathwork - Three Exercises to Improve Your Health

Exercise 1: Deep Breathing (perform this exercise 5 times)

  1. Find a comfortable seated position.
  2. Close your eyes and place your hands on your abdomen.
  3. Inhale deeply through your nose, filling your belly with air.
  4. Exhale slowly through your mouth, releasing any tension.
  5. Focus on each breath, allowing it to nourish your body and calm your mind.

Exercise 2: Box Breathing (perform this exercise 5 times)

  1. Take a comfortable seated position.
  2. Inhale slowly through your nose, counting to four.
  3. Hold your breath for a count of four.
  4. Exhale gently through your mouth, counting to four.
  5. Hold your breath for a count of four.
  6. Allow each breath to flow smoothly, promoting calmness and grounding.

Exercise 3: Lion's Breath (perform this exercise 3 times)

  1. Sit comfortably and relax your face.
  2. Take a deep breath in through your nose.
  3. Exhale forcefully through your mouth, opening your eyes wide.
  4. Stick out your tongue and create a powerful 'ha' sound.
  5. Take a 20-second break.
  6. Experience the release of tension and feel uplifted.
  7. Remember to practice these breathwork exercises regularly for enhanced well-being.
